Einosuke OKUDA

Einosuke OKUDA is a Japanese anime director and screenwriter. He is best known for his work on the anime series Fushigi Yugi: The Mysterious Play and Fushigi Yugi: Genbu Kaiden. OKUDA was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1967. He studied animation at the Osaka University of Arts. After graduating, he worked as an animator for several anime studios, including Studio Pierrot and Madhouse. In 1995, OKUDA made his directorial debut with the anime series Fushigi Yugi: The Mysterious Play. The series was based on the manga of the same name by Kazuki Takahashi. Fushigi Yugi: The Mysterious Play was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to launch OKUDA's career as a director.
